OUR STORY

The tale begins on an uneventful school day in 2009. A boy (dorky and awkward) was simply humoring himself, mouthing along to the ramblings of his 7th grade Social Studies teacher, as he often did. Although this time, something happened that would change the course of history.
A girl (cute and equally awkward), happened to glance across the desks and carpeted floor that made up the room. Her eyes in that moment caught the boys actions, sending her into a fit of laughter she couldn’t shake. They didn’t know it, but in that moment, their story began.
The rest of middle school included silly jokes and skype calls, which led to late nights and early mornings. When they reached high school, it was clear they had more than a friendship on their hands.
David and Julia began dating in 2013, as it became clear to them (and everyone around) that they were meant to be. Life, as it often does, threw trials and tribulations their way, which led to constant support from one another.
That support stayed during college, when they both faced their own sets of challenges. They were cheerleaders for the other’s milestones. They understood that their friendship would still exist, even if the relationship did not. They trusted fate to bring them back if it was meant to be.
And it was...
In 2019, they had both moved back home for (what they thought would be) a short while. When 2020 unfolded, there was an opportunity to take a good look inward and see what was most important...
Each other.
They moved in together in 2021 and worked on growing what once was. In 2024, they adopted their dog, Becca, and got a taste of working together to care for their fur baby. It didn’t happen overnight, but their relationship’s strength was way beyond what it had ever been. This natural progression is what leads us to today.
On May 1, 2025, they got engaged peering over Lake Michigan at a lookout point. The couple was beaming. It was the perfect start to the next chapter of their lives. Now, as they plan their wedding, they’re most excited to celebrate the day with all the people they love most.
